She has a brother named Prashant Motwani. The actress admitted into Podar International School in Mumbai and later she attended to study at the International Curriculum School in Santacruz, Mumbai. She had a great passion for acting from her childhood and eventually wanted to be a famous actress of India.
Hansika Motwani started her career in showbiz industry as a child actress with the television serial Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand where she played the role, Tina. Then she appeared several shows including Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Karishma Kaa Karishma and Celebrity Fame Gurukul.
Hansika Motwani kicked off her film journey playing the child artist role with Bollywood movie Hawa in 2003. Then she acted as a child actress in 5 movies in those her performance was very praiseworthy. The actress first appeared with a lead role in Telugu movie Desamuduru where she played the role Vaishali for which Hansika won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in South India in 2007. After getting popularity in that movie, she had not to see back. Gradually, the actress presented to her fans about 15 Telugu movies most of which became commercially hit including Aap Kaa Surroor, Denikaina Ready and Size Zero.
